Frequently Asked Questions

How will I receive my photos?

I deliver all photos via an online gallery called pass. From this gallery you can download, share through social media, and order prints. The gallery stays available for years and is a secure, beautiful way of sharing your photos.

How many photos do you usually send?

Photo amount can vary depending on the session or wedding day. I am a sucker for lots of photos so you will receive probably way to many! Engagements I typically send 100+ for an hour session. For a wedding day you can expect around 75-80 photos per hr. on a general basis, if not a lot more (honestly this is a small estimate for most wedding days). I am a firm believer in the fact that the photos I love from your day might not be the same ones you love so I try to send a big variety.

How long before I receive my photos?

Engagement photos or Sessions generally take 3-6 weeks to receive your full gallery. My contract states that it can take up to 11 weeks to receive your full wedding gallery. I typically do not take 11 weeks to edit a full gallery, but this is a cushion in case of personal reasons such as a sickness, family emergency or vacations. I also always send sneak peeks to you. I try to send wedding sneaks within the first 1-3 days after your wedding, so you have a handful of lovely photos to share and some other special ones to hold you over. I also send a few sneaks from engagements within the first week. I know waiting for photos is the hardest so I do the best to get them back to you asap, but also want to make sure they are my best work!

Do you Travel?

YES! I would love, love, love to travel with you or to you for your session or Elopement or wedding. I have been to some amazing places a long the East Coast and continuing to travel out west as well. I have shot elopements/weddings in California, New Hampshire, Illinois & more. I have also been international to incredible parts of the world from Kenya to Zambia to Northern Ireland. So Traveling is something I am used to and LOVE!!

I have packages for both domestic and international Travel with travel included. If it is a dream location, or somewhere I am already planing on heading to there might just be a little discount on session price ;)
You can check the bottom of this page for my current travel plans!

All things engagement photos : Where? Outfits? Awkwardness? Do we need them?

Engagement sessions are not a must do, but I do HIGHLY encourage them. I think engagement sessions are a great way to get to know each other and it gives you a chance to get a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I know being in-front of a camera is not normal or natural, but my job is to make you feel a little more comfortable. I try my best to make you interact with each other and not feel like a camera is in your face, I want you to try and forget why we are even there. The where is ultimately up to you, but I am more than happy to help pick the perfect spot as we talk through your vision and dreams, the skies the limit so let’s get creative. As for outfits most couples have one or two outfits for their engagements. I attached my outfit inspiration board to help you get ideas and color schemes that look great on camera. All of this to say your engagements are yours and I am there to make your vision and dream come to life!

Will you share from our wedding & engagement session ?

As of right now I try my best to share at least one photo from each couple I have in-front of my camera on my instagram. (If permission is given in contract). I just decided my goal is to make you feel loved and important. I feel like all my couples and their stories are so important and I never want anyone to feel less than because I didn’t post a photo of them. Now that doesn’t mean it will be right away because I do try to plan out post and my feed, so don’t feel bad if it is not right after your session or wedding, also social media is hard. Now, I do not blog or use every couple on my website, mostly because it is super hard to keep up with and there are so many beautiful faces, so don’t feel bad if your wedding isn’t blogged it is probably because I am behind a few months and can’t keep up.

(I also do not usually share sessions that aren’t couples, mostly because I cater towards couples & weddings. I promise I loved your family or senior session!)

Do you do sessions other than weddings & engagements?

Yes I do! I offer other sessions from family, in-home newborn, maternity, senior, or whatever your heart desires. You might not see this often on my instagram or on display on my website because my main passion is couples and that is who I tend to cater towards, but I do enjoy capturing any moment in your life. Since weddings do take up the majority of my weekends I offer these sessions during week days mostly and sometimes if I have an open weekend. If you would like to see some more of this type of work from me you can send me an email and I’ll be more than happy to send you some of my recent work.

What Does natural light photography mean ? & how it portrays to my session?

Natural light photography means I solely rely on the light that is given to me in each space and primarily from the sun. In other words I don’t bring any extra lighting setups (other than an on camera speed-lite flash mainly for reception) on any wedding day or other shoot. Why is this important for you to know when looking for a photographer because it is important we are both educated and prepared for how your photos will feel. If you are planning on getting married inside (especially if there is little to no window lighting) this could mean your photos will have a more grainy/moody feel. Since I do not bring extra lighting and I tend to avoid flash other than receptions, my camera has to use the lighting that is given. If you are curious or concerned about this please ask. I just want to help everyone be informed!
